Tom Windseck, Director of Veteran?s Affairs at the University of Minnesota doesn?t like administration?s veterans affairs plan, and says the it opposes most of the bills introduced or passed by Congress. For the Vietnam vet, he says, it seemed like POWs were considered the heroes of war; there was little credit given to regular soldiers including those wounded. Frank Momson, state adjutant of American Legion, comments on problems vets face with education and jobs. Medical care and outdated hospital and equipment are also problems. John O?Neill of the VFW wonders if an overhaul of the Veterans Administration is needed.
